Open-Possibility | a dupe for Nails Inc. & Victoria Beckham’s Bamboo White

- Beauty, Nails

Swooning, drooling, insert other verb here, or whatever it is, can not describe how I feel when I saw this polish.  However, I just could not, for the life of beauty, spend the amount of money for a bottle of nail polish in exchange.

Victoria Beckham is definitely one stylish lady, the two colors that she launched are just incredibly beautiful.  However, my eyes and heart are stuck on the super muted, nudey pink color – Bamboo White.  From all the reviews and pictures that I see online, the color seems to suit all skin tones, and it gives that clean, lean and sophisticated look on your fingers.  It is undoubtly stunning but not overly unique.  And I thought, there must be something, somewhere, out there a color similar to it – hence, the search for a dupe began.

Since I generally love Essie’s nail polish, no surprise here, I went to the Essie’s nail polish rack first to find a similar color.  Thankfully, my search did not take too long and I found the shade Tuck it in My Tux by Essie.

That night, I painted my hands right away with the new polish, and I was like ‘yessss!!’ excited, happy, satisfied, winner spirit!

As you can see, the colors are incredibly similar.  However, I must say that the application is not so great.  The Essie polish is on the sheer side and I needed a good 3 coats to make it opaque enough.  [Also, I had bumpy nails that it showed up quite uneven on my nails.]

However, if you have good and smooth nails, and you use an opaque base coat underneath – this Essie’s polish is just as beautiful as Bamboo White.

What do you guys think?  Did we find a winner dupe?  –  let me know if you found other dupe options too.

Thank you guys so much for reading!

Have a great day! 😉

Sally Hansen’s miracle gel color “Birthday Suit” is almost an exact dupe! I splurged and bought the Bamboo White and was disappointed at how similar the colors were. Just something to keep in mind! 🙂
